Lyons Health and Wellness is a small clinic in the Colorado foothills town Megan Foreman comes from, and she started it after leaving corporate healthcare. It is a primary care practice as well as a hormone practice, so the clinician treating your perimenopause also manages things like thyroid and cholesterol. A first visit covers your history along with sleep, food and exercise, and labs are ordered at the end so the results can be gone over at the follow-up. The clinic prefers Biote pellets and explains why it favors them over daily creams and pills, though patches, tablets and creams are options, and it uses compounding pharmacies when a dose needs to be precise. Prescriptions go to the pharmacy you choose instead of being sold in the office, and hormone care does not require a membership. Before opening the clinic Foreman ran the disordered eating team at CU Boulder, and the practice does weight and metabolic care alongside hormones.

Dr. Fagan owns Four Mile Creek Health, a small direct primary care practice in Boulder where she is a family doctor to her members. Hormone therapy is handled inside that primary care relationship, alongside weight and metabolic health, rather than as a separate menopause program. Visits run 45 minutes, and members can reach her by text, phone or email and see her in person or remotely. Her interest in hormones goes back a long way, since her master's thesis was on bioidentical transdermal hormone therapy. Her panel is full, so new patients are booked onto her calendar and the first visit may be several months away. A free 15-minute meet and greet comes before joining.

Peak Vista's Women's Health Center sits on the Union campus in Colorado Springs and is part of a federally qualified health center that also handles pregnancy care and well woman visits. Peak Vista's women's health service page names her, as Kady Moehring, as the provider on its team certified by The Menopause Society, and says she is one of only three certified practitioners in Colorado Springs. That same page gives lifestyle changes, non-hormonal treatments and hormone therapy as the relief options for menopause symptoms. One thing to know before calling is that since the first of July 2026 most Peak Vista centers in Colorado Springs have stopped taking new patients whose main coverage is commercial insurance, while new patients on Medicaid or Medicare or with no insurance are still welcome. She joined Peak Vista in 2018, is listed as an assistant medical director, and her training includes a post masters certificate in nurse midwifery. There is a sliding fee discount based on household size and income, and it is open to insured and uninsured patients alike.

Dr. Price is a gynecologist at Boulder Women's Care, the hospital-run OB/GYN group at Boulder Community Health. She is the one doctor the hospital lists specifically for menopause care, and she also delivers babies and handles general gynecology. Menopause treatment there can include lifestyle changes, non-hormonal options and individualized hormone therapy. She sees patients in Boulder and at a second office in Erie. New patients can book online through the hospital's portal, which starts them with an annual gynecology visit. Patient reviews mention that she takes time to work through whether hormone therapy is a good fit.

Angela Jones handles menopause and hormone care at Phase II Center for Women's Health, a gynecology and pelvic health clinic in Millcreek run by an all-female team. The clinic does no obstetrics, so appointments are not bumped for deliveries. Before moving into women's health she worked in emergency medicine and critical care. She prescribes both bioidentical and conventional hormone therapy, offers non-hormonal options, and keeps an eye on bone and heart health after menopause. She also covers routine gynecology like annual exams and contraception, and a gynecologic surgeon in the same office sees bladder and prolapse problems. The clinic bills insurance, and visits are booked by phone.

Amy Burgess

  • Lone Tree, CO · In person & virtual

Amy Burgess is a certified nurse midwife at Lone Tree OB/GYN and Midwives, an obstetrics and gynecology practice with offices in Lone Tree and Castle Rock. Her own bio places her at the Castle Rock office, and she is one of only three providers the practice names as performing hormone pellet therapy, which it does only at the Lone Tree office. The practice uses Biote pellets and no other brand, and it starts hormone care with a consultation and a full hormone panel before deciding whether someone is a candidate. She came to midwifery after more than a decade as a labor and delivery nurse, and her bio describes a holistic, evidence based approach built on informed consent. She also encourages balanced nutrition, regular exercise and stress management as part of her care. The practice runs a separate aesthetics department offering radiofrequency treatments for vaginal dryness and painful sex, but it does not say which providers perform them.

Boulder Women's Clinic is an independent gynecology practice in Boulder that stopped delivering babies in 2000 so it could concentrate on gynecologic care. Jennifer Stanzel has been a physician assistant for more than 30 years and joined the clinic in 2006, after starting out in family practice and internal medicine. Her stated interests include menopausal hormone therapy, adolescent gynecology, contraception counseling and management of abnormal Pap smears, and she has about 20 years of experience placing IUDs and Nexplanon implants. The practice treats perimenopausal and postmenopausal symptoms with hormone replacement therapy as well as non-hormonal options, and it also works on bone loss, breast health and cardiovascular health through the transition. It says it is the only gynecology practice in Boulder offering the MonaLisa Touch fractional CO2 laser, which it uses for vaginal dryness, painful sex, repeat infections and urinary incontinence in women who cannot or would rather not use hormones. New patients fill out a paper form before the first visit, and the clinic says its providers can often fit people in the same day or the same week.

Damara Andreoli is a certified nurse midwife in the OB-GYN clinic at Denver Health, the city's large public hospital system. The midwife team there sees women for well visits and gynaecologic care through menopause, and they work alongside the hospital's physicians. She sees patients at the main campus clinic in central Denver. Phone and video visits are offered for most gynaecology appointments, but only to patients living in Colorado. New patients can book online through the hospital's scheduling system, and interpreters are available for every language. The hospital's site does not say what she prescribes, and its provider pages publish no biography or conditions list for any of its midwives or OB-GYN physicians.

Michelle Barhaghi is the only doctor listed at The Group for Women, a small obstetrics and gynecology office in Aurora. The practice lists its services under headings that include yearly exams, family planning, pregnancy care, mid-life woman changes and gynecologic surgery, and the mid-life heading covers bladder control problems and management of perimenopausal and menopausal concerns. She is a certified Biote provider, and the hormone care is described as the Biote Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She is double board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in integrative medicine, and she says she weighs lifestyle, environment and relationships when considering treatment options. Much of her surgical work is minimally invasive treatment of fibroids, ovarian cysts and other pelvic disorders, and she names endometriosis as a special interest. She grew up in Aurora and went to school here before training in New York and New Orleans, and she also displays a certification in treating urinary incontinence with the InTone device.

She is the only OB-GYN at Intermountain Health's East Crossroads Clinic in Aurora, so the women's health care there is hers. Alongside general gynecology and obstetrics she takes menopause visits through Intermountain's menopause program, which is built for women roughly 35 to 65 with perimenopausal or postmenopausal symptoms. You fill in a symptom questionnaire first, then get 30 to 60 minutes to go through symptoms and leave with a care plan, and the program says a physical exam usually is not needed. Follow-ups are half an hour, and the program runs both video and in-office appointments. She works with FDA-approved hormone therapy and non-hormonal medication, and adds lifestyle and wellness counseling. She grew up in Parker, came back to Denver for her residency at Saint Joseph Hospital, and her other main interest is minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Julie Homann is a nurse practitioner at The Women's Clinic of Northern Colorado, a practice running since 1965 with offices in Loveland and Fort Collins. She holds the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential, and hers is one of only two biographies on the clinic's team pages that names it. The clinic cares for perimenopausal, menopausal and postmenopausal women and says its hormone therapy comes as a pill, gel, cream, patch or spray, with vaginal products in cream, tablet or ring form. It also runs hormone testing by blood, saliva or urine, bone density scanning and osteoporosis care, and it presents non-hormonal routes including prescription medicine, diet and exercise. The clinic advertises MonaLisa Touch laser treatment for vaginal dryness, though its procedures page lists that among the work its OB/GYN physicians perform. Appointments are asked for through a form on the site and a patient representative calls back within two business days.
